I would donate a body part to own and have an updated version of this bike every year! Still that's not going to happen in hurry so it will stay a thing of dreams for me and a few others who are still entering the lottery in hope!
Check out this Review via SingleTrack.com and the official Niner section!
Just make sure you have something to wipe the drool!

Back on the bike
It has been longer since I wrote here than since I rode last, thankfully!
I have ridden a few times, if you follow me on Endomondo.com you'll know this. It is still not happening as often as I'd like and I tend to stick to the same routes making it difficult to really break out and find longer more tiring routes, until now.
I start a new job in Scarborough on 1 July so I will be riding to work occasionally and while it won't all be dirt roads there are a number of dirt tracks I will find out there in the peninsula!
The last ride was over to Noordhoek and through the rock garden a few times which is always a treat!
I've loaded some of my rides on to Strava.com and it makes me really look at the time it takes me to get through certain sections of track in comparison to others who have tracked that same bit! The Fairy garden for instance, I'm only 7th fastest through there and the leader is doing almost twice the speed I am. I need to get fitter and stronger and I think I'm on the right track!
The Smooth Knobblies are riding as usual but I'm getting out to join them more. I got some leg warmers and a compression jersey for my first ever Father's Day which I'm going to be using to keep me warm in the winter months and those EARLY mornings! Thanks Rhys (Tracy)!
Can't wait!

Life Changing Experiences Part 2
Since Part 1 I have become the proudest Father EVER! My wife gave birth to a beautiful baby boy on 2 December 2010. Wow it's been 19 days already!!
He has been brilliant, even the sleepless nights, projectile pooping and making sure his sprinkler system works, repeatedly over everything within a 4 foot radius!
Tracy is also doing very well and we have both taken to parenting very well, if I do say so myself! She is still in pain from her C section but all other vitals are looking very good - she is already an amazing mother!
I keep threatening to go for a 5AM ride after that feed but it's tough when he only goes down at 11 and is up again at 2 and again at 5! I will get it right! I am determined, especially when I'm on paternity leave for the first week in January 2011 - Cannot wait!
I cannot describe the feeling of becoming a parent for the first time. Tracy and I were lying in bed this morning after his feed and just staring at him, watching him sleep, thinking how surreal this all still feels!
I'm learning all sorts of things from breast feeding to bathing the little guy...
Maybe I should change the title of this blog to "Bewildered Fatherhood"!
